Thousands to receive One Stop Christmas gifts

______________________________________________________________________________________

Christmas has come early for One Stop’s loyal customers and select community groups, all thanks to the convenience store giant’s own colleagues.

Getting into the spirit of the season, each of One Stop’s 950 stores across the UK has given away delicious treats and festive cheer within their communities – six gifts to loyal customers and one hamper to a community organisation of their choice. In total this means that over 900 community groups and 5,000 customers will receive gifts!

And to put the icing on the cake, colleagues have been able to select the presents themselves, choosing the products they know their customers will love and adding a personal touch to each one.

Liz Fox, Head of Store Support at One Stop said: “It is the season for giving and we know there’s no feeling quite like it, so we’ve given our colleagues the opportunity to give back – not only to our customers but their communities as well.

“By rewarding customers with a little gift of chocolates or biscuits, it’s our way of thanking them for their support this year and choosing to shop at One Stop.

“Our customers and the community are the heartbeat of One Stop and these random acts of kindness will hopefully put a smile on thousands of people’s faces this year.”

Items in the hampers can be personalised to benefit the group it is supporting and not only include some cracking Christmas fare but some cupboard staples too, such as Bisto Gravy granules and Ambrosia Rice Pudding, as well as seasonal treats including Ferraro Rocher, Mr Kipling Reindeer Slices and Pringles – all helping to get the party started!

Liz added: “Our colleagues know their customers and have chosen the products for their community hampers so that they could tailor each one to the group they chose to support. We wanted each one to have meaning to the groups they supported.

“For many people, Christmas is an indulgent season filled with fun, laughter and indulgence. However, for others – who may be less fortunate or lonely across the season – this might help to touch their lives with a little festive cheer, as many colleagues will deliver the gifts personally to customers’ homes.”

The hampers were funded by money raised via One Stop’s Salvation Army Clothes Bins. The campaign runs until Christmas Eve.
