One Stop scholarship programme now open
Our One Stop scholarship programme for 2023 is now open. To apply, candidates must be 18-24 and educated through a state school. Successful candidates will be awarded a £15,000 bursary, a business mentor and a paid summer internship to support their three-year graduate course at a UK university. The programme will support courses which are focused around four key subject areas: Online, Technology, Community and Sustainability.
This year’s application process, which closes on the 30th of April, involves video-call interview with those who make it to the final stage of the selection process invited to visit our head office in Walsall. This experience day gives candidates the opportunity to take part in an interview with our colleagues from each of the relevant departments that correlate with the subject areas offered in the scholarship.
Alishia Hambleton, Talent and Career Partner, said: “Our scholarship programme offers successful candidates an opportunity to begin their career journey and form relevant and applicable skills across a broad set of subject areas. We also support our scholars with regular mentoring sessions and watching people learn and grow is wonderful to be part of.”
In addition, those of the scholarship programme are able to take part in ongoing internship opportunities at One Stop which fit around their studies.
Alycia Bramall, a successful candidate of our scholarship programme, who is now studying at the University of Central Lancashire, commented: “I am so incredibly thankful for this experience that the One Stop team has given me, and I am really excited to continue working with them throughout my journey at One Stop.”
We’re is working in partnership with the charity Groundworks on this initiative and visit colleges across the Birmingham area to help raise awareness of the programme and answer any questions for potential applicants.
