We’d suggest that you research your chosen programme to enable you to convey your motivation and passion for joining us. Ahead of the day we’ll send you some helpful information about some of the great things One Stop do. Please also take a look at our ‘Hints and tips’ section on the application process page here.

Our Discovery Centre has been designed with you in mind, this will enable you to relax and show us the best version of you whether the day be virtual or face to face.

This day is a two way process; it will allow you the opportunity to get involved with some of the great innovations we have here whilst meeting some of our business leaders.

Prior to your Discovery Centre we will provide you with an overview of the day and some light reading. It’s important that you understand your motivations for joining the programme and research the area of choice and wider business.
During the day you will be assessed during three exercises. There will be a group discussion, a 121 conversation based upon a real business scenario that you’ll be presented with on the day and we’ve replaced the traditional competency interview with a motivational interview to assess your passion for One stop and your chosen programme. It’s really important that you contribute and take part throughout the day as this will help us get to know you.

We believe that you perform your best when you are yourself. So, whether this is smart/casual or your best business attire, you should feel comfortable and confident – we’re interested in you, not your outfit, so please don’t worry! Our interviewers will be dressed smart/casual.

We work hard to make sure that working arrangements and physical features of our buildings don’t put any colleagues at a disadvantage. You should be well-equipped to excel in a role that plays to your unique strengths and interests utilising the range of skills you’ve developed over your time on the programme.

Unfortunately, this isn’t something we can support with.

There are lots of ways you can learn and develop whilst on your programme. We encourage self-led development and will support this with a range of e-learning and face to face learning sessions. You’ll build your skills for the future with real-life experience, workshops and resources, as well as support and mentoring from your colleagues.

Starting out in a large organisation like ours can be a bit daunting so there’s a team of colleagues for you to turn to should you need, which includes your line manager, a buddy, programme manager and a mentor. We want to help colleagues to look after their mental and physical wellbeing, so they can feel great at work and at home.

Before starting, you’ll have the option to speak to current colleagues from across the business to help answer any questions/concerns you might have.

Yes, there will be the opportunity to connect with the other new joiners before you start. On your first day you will all be together for your induction Warm Welcome to One Stop.
