100 One Stop Colleagues Hangloose in aid of Alzheimer’s Society

On Tuesday 1st July 2025, 100 colleagues from UK convenience retailer, One Stop, took part in a sky-high charity challenge at Hangloose, Bluewater in aid of Alzheimer’s Society.

Raising a staggering £18,000 (and counting!), colleagues completed England’s longest zipline, which is over 720 meters long,100 meters tall and reaches speeds of up to 50mph.

On the same day, daredevil colleagues also completed Europe’s tallest group swing with a 22- story drop.

Jessica Darby, Digital Marketing Manager, spoke about how conquering her fear of heights in aid to support those living with dementia. : “This was an unforgettable experience, filled with so many emotions. Heights are my worst nightmare but doing this for an incredible cause was what was getting me through – and the adrenaline! I’m grateful I had the chance to dedicate this charity challenge to helping those who are affected by dementia, as well as supporting their families.”

Alzheimer’s Society, the UK’s leading dementia charity, provide helps and hope to everyone affected by dementia – past, present and future. Dementia is the UK’s biggest killer and one in three people born today will develop it in their lifetime.

Lizzie Pearl, Head of Corporate Partnerships at Alzheimer’s Society, said: “One Stop has supported Alzheimer’s Society for many years, but this is its most daring fundraiser yet. We extend our thanks to the 100 One Stop colleagues who pushed themselves out of their comfort zone to raise over £18,000 for Alzheimer’s Society and help to create a brighter future for those impacted by dementia.”
