One Stop sponsors Chase Pride for its second year!
One Stop will be sponsoring Chase Pride on Saturday 2nd September at Hednesford Park!
This is the second time the convenience retailer has partnered with Chase Pride and with 50 market stalls and entertainment across 4 stages, this year is set to be bigger and better than the last!
One Stop will be partnering with Chase Pride to bring the Queer as Joke comedy arena to the festival, as well as the Community Zone. They’ll also be walking in the midday Pride parade and manning a market stall where attendees can meet the local One Stop teams.
Aimee Mottram, Head of Supply Chain Transformation and LGBTQ+ Network Sponsor at One Stop, explains the importance behind sponsoring Chase Pride: “At One Stop, we’re committed to serving & supporting the local communities our stores are located in, so sponsoring Chase Pride for a second year is an honour! Especially as our head office is located just down the road in Brownhills.
Being able to show that One Stop is an inclusive LGBTQ+ employer and a safe place for the community is incredibly important to us.”
Chase Pride’s main aim is to change the LGBTQ+ narrative in the local and are dedicated to making a difference for the people of Cannock Chase.
Kathryn Downs from Chase Pride said “We’re excited to be working with One Stop again in 2023, last year they were big supporters of ours and helped make the very first Chase Pride a roaring success, so we’re excited to see what we can achieve together this year. We’re particularly excited to have their support bringing Queer As Joke to Chase Pride, providing a platform for new and existing comics to showcase their talent in front of the LGBTQ+ community.”
The main event on Saturday 2nd September will kick off at 11am, with a midday parade until 12:30. The community stage opens at 1pm.
The team will also be holding a free community movie night on Friday 1st September, where they’ll be showing Matilda the Musical.
