We’ve won big at the Retail Industry Awards 2022!

We’re proud to share that we’ve landed not one, but two impressive wins at this year’s prestigious Retail Industry Awards 2022, held on Tuesday evening at a ceremony in London. We’ve won the ‘Convenience Retailer of the Year’ award as well as ‘Multiple Community Retailer of the Year’ award, beating major competitors within the industry.

Managing Director here at One Stop, Sarah Lawler comments:

“It’s been a remarkable year for us at One Stop and we’re absolutely thrilled that our efforts have been recognised by two such prestigious awards.”

Throughout this year, we’ve reached many outstanding milestones at One Stop, including opening 65 new One Stop stores and significantly strengthening our online presence. We also became the first grocery retailer available on the three leading delivery platforms of ‘Deliveroo’, ‘Just Eats’ and ‘Uber Eats’. Most of our stores now offer at least one online delivery platform option to our customers. This means we have excellent delivery coverage across the UK! Sarah went onto say:

“We have worked hard to put the building blocks in place to enable this success and we are feeling excited for our future.”

We’ve undertaken a refresh of our stores, including new point of sale, which has created a more cohesive and modern look. Sarah added, “This has enabled us to reflect that we are a ‘go to’ brand for fresh and grocery items. Shopping needs are evolving and products that would traditionally have required purchasing further afield at larger supermarkets, are now available on customer’s doorsteps.” We’re also proud to be recognised for our work with charities and organisations within the community, picking up the ‘Multiple Community Retailer of the Year’ award.

Sarah added: “This has always formed part of our DNA at One Stop and this year has been no different. We’ve built partnerships and created initiatives to help address food waste and food poverty. As well as this we’ve raised a huge amount for our partner charities and organisations with over £9million raised since 2013. As a business we’re all exceptionally proud of this achievement and to be recognised for what we have done will only drive us forwards to provide more for others who need it the most.”
