We’ve launched our Summer activity book to raise money for FareShare!

After the success of our Christmas and Easter partnerships with FareShare, which supports vulnerable families with food across our communities, we’re launching our exciting summer campaign with the charity in a bid to help others less fortunate.

Our third children’s activity book is focusing on Suzi the Strawberry and her exciting summer holiday activities. Children can enjoy colouring pages, word searches, dot-to-dots and so much more.

The limited-edition book will be available to purchase for £1 across all of our stores, with all profits for the sale of the books going towards helping FareShare provide food to families struggling to get enough to eat. Use your handy store finder to locate your nearest One Stop.

As well as our exciting Summer activity book, we’re also donating 2p to FareShare from every individual and multipack of fresh fruit and vegetables sold, helping to increase fundraising and provide food to people going hungry across the UK. This promotion will run from the 25th July – 2nd September.

We launched our partnership with FareShare at the end of last year, with an £80,000 donation which supported vulnerable families over the festive holiday and February half term this year.

FareShare is the UK’s biggest charity fighting hunger and tackling food waste, born out of the belief that no good food should go to waste.

This belief is as central to its work now as it was nearly 30 years ago. Neil Thomas, Head of Transformation here at One Stop spoke of both the charity and the campaign and said, “We’re fully behind the work of FareShare. Through our large network of stores we see first-hand how some people in our communities need additional support. The reliance on charities such as FareShare is particularly sad to see in today’s society and is further exacerbated during the cost-of-living crisis.
