4 teabags (black grey, or whatever you fancy!)
1 tbsp sugar (optional)
1-2 lemons, sliced
mint sprigs, to serve
ice cubes, to serve
1 tbsp sugar (optional)
1-2 lemons, sliced
mint sprigs, to serve
ice cubes, to serve
Method:
- Place the tea bags, sugar (if using), and half of the lemon slices into a large heatproof jug or pitcher. Pour over 1 litre of freshly boiled water and let it steep for 5 minutes.
- Stir well, then remove and discard the tea bags and lemon slices. Allow the tea to cool to room temperature, then transfer to the fridge to chill. It will keep covered in the fridge for 2–3 days.
- When ready to serve, fill glasses with ice and the reserved lemon slices. Pour over the chilled tea and garnish with a sprig of fresh mint.
