  1. Get back into a routine

With all that’s happened over the past few months, a normal routine seems like a distant memory. A great way to get back into the swing of things is to start your routine a week or two before they go back to school. Set your alarm clocks and make breakfast to get them ready for the day, even if you’re not doing anything that day it’s good to get their body clocks set and ready for the first day back.

  1. Talk about their day

Going back to a new school year, with new teachers, new classmates and new timetables can be a lot to take in. So talking about how their day went is a great way to help them overcome any fears they may have had on their first day.

  1. Get the Uniform’s ready

Getting uniforms ready can be a handful, that’s why it’s good to prepare in advance. A top tip is to create a checklist of what your little one will need for example, shirts, trousers, jumpers, shoes, skirts and a bag. This way you won’t forget anything.

  1. Make sure they’ve got all the supplies they need

Getting the stationery and supplies ready early is one less task to think about when it comes to going back to school. Make sure that they’ve got everything they need for example: pencils, pens, rulers, a calculator etc. A great tip is to always pack spares, just in case they go missing too!
