Very Merry Christmas Activities for Kids
Are you feeling festive yet? You know what, it’s never too early to begin thinking about Christmas Kids Activities. Here’s six activities to keep your little ones occupied during the Christmas holidays.
1. Make A Popcorn Garland
What better way to keep the kids occupied than engaging them in an activity that’s both a decoration and a snack? You’ll need crafting string, a crafting needle, a pair of scissors and obviously a fresh batch of popcorn. Why not try mixing in some cranberries for that additional Christmas-y touch.
2. Sorting Sweets game
All you need is a large cup and a bag full of different sweets to play this entertaining minute to win it game. Just fill the cup with a variety of sweets and each person will have one minute to sort the sweets by type without tipping the cup over. There’s no losing in this game as you get to keep the sweets in the end.
3. Make Paper Snowflakes
Add some holiday cheer in your home with some festive paper decorations. Making paper snowflakes is a craft that’s simple enough for children who are old enough to use a pair of scissors. Just take a piece of plain white paper, fold it a few times and then snip the folds and unfold to reveal your seasonal decoration.
4. Christmas Stacking Cups
Here’s another simple fun game to keep the children entertained during your holiday party, all you need is a pack of festive themed drinking cups and a sleeve of cards. Stack the drinking cups upside down on top of each other with a piece of festive cards slotted in between them to separate the cups. The aim of the game is each player has a minute to pull out as many cards as they can to make the cups stack on top of each other. Sounds pretty easy until you give it a try.
5. Pine cone Christmas craft
Pine cones are wonderful materials for making cute nature Christmas crafts. If you like to do craft activities, then most likely you will have most of the materials you need at home already. You will need to collect some pine cones from outside of course. Other than that, you will need bits of scrap felt, some marker pens, glue and anything you want to decorate your pine cones with really.
6. Make a Wreath
Have fun ripping, scrumpling and sticking the tissue paper onto our wreath template to make a gorgeous tissue paper wreath. Suitable for all ages from your youngest child up. You will need to print out our wreath template, some tissue paper, a hole punch, some white glue and a ribbon or cord to hang.
We hope you enjoy doing some of these Christmas activities that are simple enough to accomplish during the holiday rush, work for kids of all ages and will make memories with your family for years to come. Merry Christmas from everyone at One Stop.
