Staycation Ideas at Home
With the unpredictable Summer we’ve had so far, now is a better time than ever to go on a ‘Staycation’. What is a Staycation you may be wondering? Well, it’s fairly self-explanatory it’s where you enjoy a break without travelling anywhere. This could be relaxing at home or exploring your local surroundings. So why not give it a go and try out our top tips for a well-deserved break?
1. Kick back and relax
Give yourself some well-earned self-care by having a good relax. This could be by taking a warm bath, trying out meditation or even binging your favourite Netflix show. Whatever suits you best just give yourself a break from reality by taking a deep breath and enjoying some ‘you’ time.
2. Plan a games night
A great way to have some fun at home is by planning a games night. Set up some games that family and friends can all play and make a night of it. You could play card games, board games or even charades. Everyone can get involved and spend some great quality time together.
3. Try different cuisines
Instead of travelling the world this Summer why not bring the world to you in the form of food? Challenge yourself to try some great cuisines from around the world. Picture yourself on the white beaches in Mexico with this Fajita recipe or how about staring at the Jamaican sunset with this Jamaican Jerk Chicken, or even in the beautiful streets of Italy with this Florentine Pizza recipe?

4. Read a good book
What better way to unwind and relax than curling up on the sofa and getting stuck into a good book? Head down to the library or your local book shop and find a great book you may be interested in. It can sometimes be hard to find the free time to read through a book so treat yourself and get reading!
5.Go exploring
You may be used to seeing the same spots and places in your local town or city, but have you ever wondered what hidden gems it may hold? Why not play tourist for the day and go exploring? You may find some great heritage you never knew about or a great restaurant that you’ve never visited.
