Try this quick and easy spaghetti bolognese, perfect for a mid-week dinner.
6 tbsp olive oil
1 small onion, finely chopped
2 garlic cloves, crushed
1 680g tomato passata
500g lean minced beef
50g Parmesan, grated
1. First make the sauce, heat the olive oil in a medium saucepan over a medium heat, add the onion and garlic and fry until softened but not coloured. Stir in the passata. Simmer the sauce for 12-15 minutes until it has thickened.
2. Heat olive oil in a frying pan over a medium-low heat, add the mince and cook for 5 minutes or until browned all over. Heat the sauce and add in the mince into the pan. Cover and simmer on a medium heat for 15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened.
3. Next boil the spaghetti by following cooking instructions on the packet. Once cooked, drain the spaghetti and serve with the sauce, sprinkle with Parmesan. Serve and enjoy!
